Beautiful rifles and nice photography.
Though I do prefer pics of guns taken in their natural environment (ie. without baseboards ;) ).
Threads like these remind me of the off-roading club I belong to...members who post pics of their trucks in the driveway get teased a bit...if only we could take our ARs to more places than just the range, imagine the creative shots we could get!
 
Thanks for all the kind comments guys, really appreciate it. This hobby is so addictive, stress relieving, time consuming and EXPENSIVE! I really love researching, sourcing out all the parts and assembling them into complete rifles. It's like Lego for adults! Almost as fun as shooting them! OK not quite, but you get the point.

The idea of putting some color on one of them did cross my mind but decided not to, leaving them as what they are, "black rifles"!

I only wish we could take pics of our rifles in their natural environment, but because I don't want my rifles confiscated, you're gonna have to put up with a baseboard or two!

I always wanted a full factory built 14.5" Colt M4. For the longest time, I could not find one or if one popped up in the EE, it was about $1000 more than what I was willing to pay.

I actually purchased this new factory built 14.5" Colt from IRG. They had 4 of them, sold out in 2 days I think. They were listed as LE trade in's, but because they were new, I did not hesitate for a second. I was actually quite pleasantly surprised when I received it to find out it was a very recent manufacture as well. When I was changing out the plastic hand guards to the KAC ras, I saw the barrel was dated 2013 or 2014, can't remember exactly right now. Because they were originally made for LE, the flash hider was not pinned or welded, so that was awesome as well.

The one thing I really wanted to make it stand out is to have the lower marked "M4A1" instead of "M4" that it came with. So I also bought the Socom at the same time and put that lower on the 14.5" upper. That's how I ended up with a very close "M4A1" forgery. Correct 14.5" barrel length, "M4A1" marking, all factory Colt parts, KAC rail and LMT sopmod stock. Only thing it's missing is the fun switch. Now I have a spare 16" Socom upper...what to do...

It's actually not a tape switch. It's the Surefire SR07 switch, comes with momentary and on/off activation buttons. Ditched the tape switch and on/off tail cap that the light originally came with, still have it somewhere. This dual activation switch attaches on to your rail like any rail cover. I got it from Dave's Surplus in New West, local for you as well.
