Would a long slide support an 18.5 inch barrel well enough that the gun can still cycle? I think you guys can guess where I'm going with this, I bet norinco could produce a mainspring housing with a stock, I've seen some pictures on Google and I think they look awesome, it would be a really fun bush gun in my opinion. Plus 10 round mags are definitely available. This-http://s273.photobucket.com/user/rpllvn/media/CarbKitRa.jpg.html

10/10 RCMP labs would restrict

Same concept as the Rossi Circuit Judge I'm afraid.

Not to derail this already wildly careening thread, but what you want is a Thureon Defense.

It was a AMT Hardballer and the laser was a homemade job by the prop guys. Arnold had to wear a battery pack hidden on his waist and the wire connecting it to the laser was hidden in his sleeve. Cool gun though...

The laser wasn't built by the propmaster -- it was one of the first ever items from Surefire.

CanAm -- care to chime in the feasibility of a 7" in .45?

7" 10mm would be the bomb. Until they make em, a 6" will have to do. i'm thinking the 10mm can at least maximize the extra length at distance. A long slide 45 will still just lob them out there (though long slides are kind of cool in whatever calibre.)

Actually, made at the request of the propmaster, by a company that would later become SureFire. The Prop guys still had to do some mods to it as there was still the battery pack and the connecting wire, along with the hidden harness. To say "it was one of the first ever items from SureFire" is somewhat misleading, considering they weren't Surefire at the time, and this wasn't an item that went into production, it was a one-off prop.

10" Long Slide firing custom made semi-rimmed .454 Casull cartridges with silver bullets. There's probably a reason why it's been 14 years and nobody's made a real life version of it yet.

I'd like our Longslide to be in the enhanced Norinco version but add flared mag well. I guess I'd settle for a 7 inch barrel and slide combo and some fries.

Because it was a figment of some 15 yr old's imagination, who was an aspiring video game programmer

(at the time) 24 year old manga artist. Same mentality though.

Apparently a guy named Jim Hoag built an 11" long slide 1911 in .45 acp back in the late '70's/early 80's. The rest I can find on Google are everyone's bad Photoshop jobs.

Laser Products as opposed to Surefire...a rose by any other name. Haha. Propmaster came in and told them what they wanted, and Laser Products put it together. Apparently the guy who put it together is still with them, which is great. He even worked up and power supply to go in the grip, buy they wanted everything for free (and that #### was expensive), so they went for the body pack. Cool history.
