Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep their brass when reloading for semi autos if they were going to reload for the modern hunter? Or does everyone just look for their brass in the grass and snow after shooting? My current consideration right now is that bolt action reloading is easy to keep onto your brass... I've never attempted to load for a semi because the brass is always getting lost, and when i do find it it is dinged up by the action.
Well there are several varieties of commercial brass catchers. Essentially bags that attach to the receiver to catch the brass.
I can't recall if they did it or not, but I know people were talking about the option of making the gas block adjustable so it could be tweaked to possibly not mangle the brass so much, or even shut off to make the rifle a straight pull bolt action, that way the brass doesn't fly anywhere at all.
Not yet, apparently the meddling of a certain individual is hampering the final exam.
Not cool!! Between the rifle, scope mount & scope I have over 10k tied up in my MH! Hopefully this is just a slight blip. For it to end up restricted now would suck.

Suck is a mild word, devastating would be my word of choice.
Given my discussions with the RCMP lab the chances of a change of classification is extremely unlikely.
We should have the final word back any day now.
There will be some serious celebrating by many of us, once the final frt comes back non restricted. I'd love to be at ATRS when they get the goods news!
