Modern hunter from ATRS is officially non restricted!!!

I always chuckle at the people who shun 2.5-3 MOA guns, how accurate do you need it to be lol

When spending $3,000+ as is the case with the ATRS Modern Hunter accuracy is a very important factor.

Please note that the ATRS MH being a high powered rifle capable of shots 1,000+Yds., accuracy is key since 2.5"-3" MOA is a big miss on many targets beyond 500Yds.

Cheers D

This kind of shooting with the ATRS with factory fodder will get many's attention, while not being stellar, it is the minimum of precision i will accept for a 3000.00 + SA rifle...
PS: This target is the result of 5 factory shots out of my Armalite AR-10T @ 200 yards...
You know there is potential...
This is the only sale pitch that will influence my decision as a buyer... Color/size/accessories are détails that you bother only after you know youv'e got a good core... Just saying... JP.

3 moa at 500 yards is 15 inches off your mark, thats a lot. When calling a rifle a hunter, it needs to be overing on the 1 moa.

Will it, can it? We will see, ATRS sure doesn't build junk, I have faith, but not enough to dish out 4k at the moment.

4k for me is a lot of money, Im not a rich millionaire albertan making 359000$ a year here. But if the rifle is capable, yes I have already started saving my money since november for a semi 308 NR, so by the time the early adopters have tried and tested it Ill be ready to dish out.

Well most people aren't capable of 0 MOA precision themselves, so you add a 2 MOA shooter to a 3 MOA gun and suddenly a humane shot on game is limited to about 150 yards.

The better question is (other than price) why would you NOT want a more accurate rifle?

For me if you are satisfied with 2.5-3 MOA in precision shooting, you better not start piloting a floatplane, you could end up upside down in the middle of the lake... Just saying. JP.

Great news. Hopefully the gun will be a quality piece and not another "public beta test" a la Robinson Arms XCR.

Atrs builds precision rifles, that's what they do, their reputation is on the line. I can't see these shooting bad and with hand loads I think getting would get 1/2 moa would be child's play.

Very good point about our own shooting potential being a very important factor, especially under less then ideal scenarios; like when hunting where an excellent (bench) rest is rarely available and daylight can be far from optimal.

With all the accuracy worries maybe ATRS should supply a target shot by them with quality ammunition like many other companies do. It gives a basic idea of what sort of accuracy to expect for the buyer and would probably help people decide to buy one if the group is small enough.

This is quite pleasant, it's like being at the theater for an opera, the momentum build and build until the final act, after that the outcome will it be a 3 minutes standing ovation or some coodonated polite applauses...
Time will tell, one thing is for sure, the big job is on ATRS side, our job, if we are satisfied and trilled with the product, is only to chic a chic a credit card and bingo we have the MH... Just saying. JP.

after waiting a year to save for the purchase on the credit card, then waiting 9 months for atrs to build the thing.

not all of us are millionaires cara, and i like to save before i buy rather than digging myself out of a credit card debt.

I'm sure it will be accurate. It's reliability that I'm more concerned about. It's not easy for a small company to develop a new weapons system and work out all design flaws prior to the release. They don't have the budget to conduct the kind of testing that a large manufacturer like HK, FN or IMI can afford. At least it seems that ATRS is taking their time and not rushing the gun to the market, as the release date is December 2015.

Just saying, while you are waiting for your rifle, you just slowly bring back your CC to zero, when you get you rifle... Pof it's cleared... Just been waiting 3 month for an AR-10 that i have paid on CC, tomorrow it will get here and fully paid... Time is on our side... JP.
