I'm irrationally proud of this. 40.1 grains of 4064 and Hornady #3040 JSP 165gr. I just wanted to share :)

Congrats on your new/first baby. lol

Agreed, reloading is a bit addictive and a great way to cure cabin fever. Well, except the part where you have to trim 500+pcs of rifle brass. :p

I think I save the very first piece of ammo I reloaded...

Congrats, I really enjoy reloading and was fortunate to have a member on here help me when I started. Matter of fact he is still a big help and a great friend.

My first one rolled off the press about 6 weeks ago. What a great feeling! I loaded 50 with slightly different weights and jumps. When I took them to the range there was one other guy there. I gave him my phone # and asked him to call my wife if anything went wrong. HA. Funny thing... he had something very important to do at his vehicle.
I have now found the components, loads and jumps my rifle likes and I'm now trying to shrink that 1/2" hole at 200m. Gotta love it! Good luck with your shooting\loading... C.

Happy to see another reloader in the community. Aren't those first rounds a thing of beauty. Still have shots of my first box of 308.

A friend of mine was just enticed to the dark side and put a huge order (press, dies, tools, components) in with Henry at Budget Shooter.

Now, until the powder shortages alleviate...hands off my components :p

Nice job ds

I know when I fired my first reload, I was like please please please dont blow up. lol

Its a real fun hobby if you like to tinker.

More accurate ammo, cheaper than factory, less vulnerable to shortages, and a new hobby. What's not to like?

Ha! I thought I was posting in the "Is it really worth it?" thread. Oh well, still works.

Now you're hooked! :p A great feeling, and a great achievement!

My first reload rolled off the line about 45 years ago, on the kitchen table. Equipment consisted of a classic Lee Loader, a hammer with a plastic head, a can of 3031. I was thrilled with my first round. :dancingbanana: I think I still have that empty 3031 can. :)
