Stick a magpul ranger plate on the bottom and Voila! 30rnd size, with mapgul functionality. Easy to pull from pouches, or for monopodding!

yes, which is essentially the same size as a 20 round 5.56 mag. My mistake. If we really want to split hairs, these are in fact, 100%, 30 Round USGI bodies, that are cut down to hold 7 rounds of .50 Beowulf.

Or, they're not cut down, but the 30 round dies have been shortened, or, maybe they're simply not putting as large a piece of metal into the stamping.

My point was, if you stick a ranger plate on the bottom, it has the functionality of a 30rnd body magazine in size/proportions.

Of course, what I don't know, is if the floor plate length is the same. I guess it's possible from looking at the angle they've cut it on, that it's in fact longer than the normal floor plate dimensions, in which case, the USGI extentions won't fit. I'd find that strange though, as, the box dimensions if sectioned correctly, would have the same floor plate dimensions.....

I'm sure someone will try it once they have them.

Great, you have made me pre order 5 Mags for something I don't even own yet because its also on pre order..... I may have to get a Norinco AR in .223 and a range membership now.... Hope your satisfied with your self! I see a fun summer ahead.

If it's a T97NRR you are waiting for, you might want to get an AR now if you don't want those mags to be paperweights for the next year (or more)!!!
