what's you're chosen coyote pill? that doesn't mess up the hide

Title basically explains it. What is you're favorite coyote pill that does not mess up the hide?

I'm running a 22-250 with hornady 52gr amax moving at 3810 fps, never had an exit wound. Never shot anything closer than 150 yards either.

I've had good luck with 65 gr v-max out of my .243 at 150 yard pokes

20 cal 39gn blitz kings small holes, anything under 150yds it will go straight through.

87 v max in 243. That is my long range load. Calling where I expect to shoot 50yds or less I use 37gr 22 in a hornet or a 52 in a 222 or 223.

On a sort of related note, those of you in BC who are concerned with pelt damage, where are you selling the dogs and how much are you getting (preferably whole) rather than just hide? skinning takes time which equates to money and if not done perfectly ruins any sale value.

I have seen people in the east quoting some very high numbers for dead yotes but no buyers out west here that I know of.

i have used 55gr soft points in my 223,100yds,chest shot and blew a big hole in a yote
i then used a 55gr fmj in the 223,140 yds,head shot,no exit wound.

55gr ballistic tipped 223 wrecks them
and 308 180gr ballistic tipped turns them inside out

I use 55g v-max .22-250
I have had lots of no exits, But also lots of fist sized holes. All depends were you hit them. Frontal shots have never gave me an exit, Usually DRT as well.

I too use the 55gr SPSX in my 22-250s with good results on coyotes, but I use the 35gr Bergers in my 204s with excellent result.

today I tried a 168 gr berger hunting vld out of my 308 @ 2700 fps. Shot the coyote at 10 yards, yes it came right into 10 yards. The bullet went in and didnt come out. Thought it would have but it didnt. Not sure if its normal for one not to exit a coyote but it did what they are suposed to do on big game and blew up inside.
