30-06 or 270

Just type your title into google and you'll have a few months worth of reading, as this is probably the most wildly contested "vs" when it comes to cartridges.

My personal opinion is hands down the 30-06 for the sole reason you included moose.

Either one will work. You have a great selection of factory ammo with either one. The 30-06 will recoil a bit more, the 270 will shoot a bit flatter. The 30-06 has a slight advantage if you reload because of the wider range of bullet weights that can be used. It's really a toss up if your only hunting deer or moose.

30-06 is the American take on 8x57
.270 is the American take on 7x57

A more interesting topic would be 30-06 & .270 Vs. 8x57 & 7x57

I'll start. "Take your bullet selection argument and shove it! You don't need selection when you have 198gr. and 173gr. perfection" :)

280 because the 2 you listed are over rated on the internet and in real life, far better choices out there over those 2

That pretty much says it all.

I prefer the 30-06 due to when you want some more stopping power you can load 200's,220's, and 240's for dangerous game. The 30-06 seems more like a practical choice( 110gr-240gr bullet selection). The .270 is a decent round to, have a friend that really swears by it. At the end of the day they will both kill the average moose, deer, black bear, elk and etc.
