Would you buy the Robinson Arms XCR in 6.8mm or 7.62mm? Why?

7.62 will not dry up, there is a number of new production x39 selling in this country already.
Unless I actually see some unbiased reviews of the new xcr I have a hard time trusting RA when they say all the issues they have had are fixed.
I have heard that statement before with previous revisions and there were still problems

7.62 will never dry up. New production 7.62 will be around till the end of time. And surplus is still pleniful enough you can buy cases buy the dozen if you so wish. Like Pitbull said, I would also never buy a RA XCR.
I did buy a RA. I love it and I would buy another one. I have thousands and thousands down the pipe. I read a lot about RA sucking but all the guys I know who have them and in 7.62 love em (besides me). Go Figure.

This. I've never met anyone in person that did not love theirs. Outside a couple a couple vocal CGNers you won't hear many complaints. I just got mine so I can't comment on the long term but I have plenty of friends with lots of rounds down the pipe of theirs and there's no complaints other than the cost of ammo.

I have seen 1 sort of review on the new keymod light barrel x39 on here but the round count is far to low to get an accurate picture and I believe there was some sort of problem, think it was FTF/FTE IIRC in those limited rounds fired so it is not that good by the sounds of it.
I have asked for accuracy reports in a number of the xcr threads on here about the new rifle in x39 and have had only that 1 response yet many have posted pics showing off they have one.
Once my range dries up Brian and I can change targets without snowshoes I will provide that proper range report. I am up to 400 rounds through mine, mostly surplus. The only malfunction was due to magazine, which also failed in my buddys x39 AR when I gave it to him. All other mags and ammo run no problems.
Ergonomics are superior to the AR platform, the side charging handle is more comfortable, especially with optics, and the bolt release is in an awesome spot. I carry it everyday on my farm and its great that way, The keymod is light enough to carry all day, the folding stock makes getting in and out of my tractor easy and it store safely behind the seat with the reduced length. If I have one complaint I wish they made the stock a tad thicker, but you can change it to an ar stock if you want anyway.

I agree. Using a Dlask adapter, I added a MOE SL stock and MOE+ grip, and wow, the rifle feels so much better. It totally changed the feel of the rifle. With this setup I find both iron sights and Aimpoint easy to use.

Are you sure that you're giving the rifle a fair chance when you'll only accept a review that confirms YOUR bias? Anyone who states a review is not credible without the reviewer finding flaws, old ones that plagued earlier models by what you're inferring, is himself not credible.
Ditto. Buddies and I had an early spring shoot at his farm this Saturday and the XCR felt like a different rifle with the FAST stock removed. Much more balanced and just felt better in the shoulder. I was shooting in the standing position running Norc surplus and I was .5 MOA all afternoon. I have the pics of the targets around here somewhere......
My next swap is the pistol grip.
I dont have a Bias, I want details of any failure exactly as they happened, I dont want to see people post they have had issues with a rifle yet still say others should still buy said rifle brand and ignore the issues, that is bias, same with brushing of other peoples failures with a rifle claiming theirs is issue free and it is a good brand regardless of what other people post

No rifle is not issue free.
All rifles will have issues.
Please let me know which rifle or firearm is 100% problem free.
Ok Brian, I will play...again. I have the model just prior to the keymod. Quad rail, heavy barrel in 5.56. I have almost 1.5 cases of Norc surplus through my rifle. It has NEVER had a FTF, FTE or any other failure of any kind. I mainly shoot offhand and have a blast. I do not have a range report for your perusal, but I can make pop cans and small water bottles dance at 115 yards all afternoon long. Don't believe me? Well, I will just have to find a way to live with your disbelief.
OP, if you want an XCR, get one. Choose the cailbre you most feel comfortable with. That being said, x39 is not going anywhere and it is available from mainstream manufacturers as well as surplus suppliers.
