Well I didn`t think I would do it, but I broke down and bought a Glock 35 Gen4 .40S&W :)

I like the full size of this pistol ,although it`s about the same as a 1911 and wanted something in .40 S&W (I handled one a few months ago ,but was on the fence)

So I bought it from one of the site vendors and just need to wait for the transfer and CP to deliver.

Hope I did good ! LOL

Cheers

IMO…everyone should spend a decent amount of time with a Glock before arriving to any conclusion(s) about them.
I know I stayed away from them (just because) until I bought a G17 4-5yrs ago to see what the fuss was all about. When I'm in the mood for "rough" use (e.g.. holster & lots of rounds) it's always my go to HG.
Enjoy….

I too want to see what the fuss is all about, but also deep inside always wanted a Glock..........a closet fanboy perhaps ? LOL

In truth ,not a fanboy of anything in particular ,and my collection shows that.I think there`s always room in the safe for a Glock (well actually ,I need another one ,this one is full )

Now we wait.

Cheers

congrats!
i absolutely love my glock (g17 gen4) as it sees the most range time. would love to get another glock but having a difficult time picking one.

The waiting is the hardest part, but it gives you time to stock up some ammo. Congrats!

Indeed my friend, but it just so happens I`m heading out to Cabelas and Wholesale for fishing stuff and ammo soon.

I haven`t even done my taxes yet ,but my refund will pay for the gun and ammo.

hmmmm.I do need a new roof though ,so I really need to get my priorites in line.......

......no I`m good LOL

Cheers

I always was a glock hater, but finally broke down and purchased a 17 so i'd have at least one glock in the collection. I am forced to concede that they are an excellent pistol. Accurate and soft shooting. And a huge aftermarket support. One of the longslides would be a fun gun, i'm sure you'll enjoy it!

Mine doesn't get much range time. I probably have about 1500 rounds thru it but it gets out every now and then.

Can`t say I was a hater ,but not a huge lover either. But then I handled one and gave it a good looking at and knew I needed one.I like the longslide of the 35 ,should be fun !

Do you own other .40S&Ws? You'll find the Glock .40 will snap a bit more than a steel framed one. Having said that, I have the G22 and I was prepared to hate it but it's now one of my favorite guns! Enjoy yours!

Yes ,a Beretta 96A1.

I just got back from Cabelas and had another look at the 35 Gen4. I`m really loving this pistol !

Can hardly wait !!

I've always disliked the 'plastic' guns....if a gun wasn't steel....it wasn't 'really' a gun. Then I went down to Nevada to Front Sight to take a 4 day pistol course (and a 2 day rifle course), and the simplest way was to rent the guns and buy the ammo there.
The handgun was a Glock G17 and the rifle I chose was an AR15. Both were awesome.
I STILL don't like a semi without a manual safety....every gun I've owned to date had them....and it's muscle memory to swipe the safety off as one is bringing the gun up....but I wanted to be able to practice with the gun I'll rent when I go down for more courses, so I broke down and bought a G22 with a 9mm barrel to interchange.....then thought I'd practice more and cheaper with a .22, so bought a G17 with an Advantage Arms .22 upper mated to it.

I'd like a subcompact 9mm...but G26's are rare here, and I might prefer a Ruger SR9, or preferably an SR9c mainly because they DO have a manual safety. Only thing stopping me is the lack of a 'moderate lottery win'. LOL!
