and that is why mr Johnone johtwo or however many more john clones there will be, will never get my money. biggest donkey ever.

My M305 does not like 308, especially Winchester brand. Rips the back off some of the casings. The brass that survives show definite signs of pressure at the neck. Shoots 7.62x51 just fine. There may be a 308 brand out there that will shoot fine in this rifle but, why bother. I know what works and what doesn't.
In my humble experience, one can shoot NATO out of a 308 without issue. The other way around 'sometimes' causes some issue.

Agreed, I am relatively new to shooting ( 2 1/2 years) but I have spent alot on this hobby and have seen many of the "comments" I believe in customer service, so no matter how good the price is my money will never land in their pockets.

How awful, how did you develop your negative perspective towards Marstar, did we do you a wrong ? Were you badly treated by us ?

Thank you for your positive evaluation of both of us we appreciate it.... I don't think johntwo will appreciate being called my clone, he is young and will have to get a thick skin to stay in this business....

BTW what have you got against donkeys anyway ??
John

I've had the pleasure of dealing with Marstar and John on multiple occasions and every one resulted in my coming back. You'll see an order from me for some 7.62 when it lands! Thank you for doing what you do and keep up the good work!

The 7.62x51 chamber has more headspace than a 308win chamber. If your M305 is chambered for 7.62x51 or has excessive headspace, this is why your 308win ammo is having the back ripped off. 7.62x51 brass is thicker, less internal volume, than a 308win which allows it to handle the larger headspace.

You should consider measuring your headspace. I think Tactical Teacher can help you with that one. Like I said, if your gun is chambered in 308win, you might have excessive headspace which is common with Norinco M305s.
