Value Of Used CZ Redhead

These look nice but when I asked the forum about buying one of these a while ago, I was told not to. Guess their reliability isn't that great. This most likely will lose you a few bucks.

For this one??? Hard to be sure from pics but looks to have some mileage

Yes, it is hard to determine condition for sure from the pics provided. Certainly if the condition isn't there then you better subtract a higher percentage. It would become evident if the percentage discounted in relation to condition is off if the gun didn't sell. I should have stated in my first post "depending on condition".

Are you sure people weren't telling you to be cautious of the Mossberg Silver Reserve? There were some firing pin problems with the early Huglu guns but since about 2007 they have been pretty good guns and good value for the money in an entry level over/under or SxS.

$825 brand new at Al Flaherty's. Like I said, he's going to take a hit on it, put it up for $800 and he'll bump it ten times.

They are sold out bud... my local stores in the area have them for about $1000 bucks new. Plus, a month ago there was a guy on CNG selling 3 of his Redheads and sold them for $900...

Local shop had one for $850 before Xmas and the CDN $ tanking, looked at it and it was indeed nice. There's two listed in stock at PGT for $939. He can ask whatever he wants, doesn't mean he'll get it, bud.

He can list it and see what he gets.

CZ Redhead Deluxe 20ga, Over/Under, 3", 26" Blued barrels, Ejectors, 5 chokes, Wood stocks $939.99
CZ Redhead Deluxe 12ga, Over/Under, 3", 28" Blued barrels, Ejectors, 5 chokes, Wood stocks $939.99

As I said, $525. It was from a friend who was going to sell it a gun show, so he gave it to me for a bit less.

Sounds like you got a good deal. I'm sure he'll get more if it's in excellent shape. There's a Canvasback in the EE for $600 asking price, don't know the price difference from new, but it's been bumped once.

With the low canadian dollar....this gun should have no problem selling for 800 used...

Yep agree. Even the silver is fine with the later firing pins. I have one of each in 28ga and both are zero issues so far

Put it up for what you want. You'll either bumb it 2-3 times before you reduce the price or sell it. Most people start selling a used firearm on the EE for no less than retail without adding tax.....some go over by a few hundred because the stores are sold out right now!!!!
