Introducing the HS3 Chassis System

May I ask why you limit the chassis in that way?
We design the chassis for ultimate strength. Removing material to allow for all recoil lug profiles out there, would remove too much material, and produce a weaker chassis.
That does not mean it is limited. Material can be removed if desired by the end user or a gunsmith to allow for different profile recoil lugs.

I'm about to order an hs3 for my tikka 6.5x55 sporter.
Are there any plans for ten round magazines in the tikka long caliber ?
And it is the 300 win mag (3.560") magazines that I want, correct ?

We did not have this planned. But we are being asked often. So we may change our minds about that, and make a 10 round. That would probably be later this year, or early next year.
Yes, the is the .300WM in 5.560 that you want for the HS3 for Tikka 6.5 x 55. The feedlips will need some adjusting, but very minor.

Ah, I'm sure a ten rounder would be well received.
Half the draw for me of a chassis is better quality, higher capacity magazines.

Still hovering over the buy it now button.

To the folks that have these, how do you find the trigger position ?
I notice the grip is quite a bit lower than the action/trigger vs the lss, xlr, etc.
Why aren't there any qd sockets machined in for sling attachment on the forearm ?

How likely are the ten rounders ?
That's pretty much the purchasing tipping point for me vs going with a cadex or grs bolthorn.

We will be doing them, but it will be late this year before we have them.
But... just curious, how is this the tipping point? These magazines are already available, no matter what chassis you use?

Its wierd that the comparison is the:

HSR - $800 with a stock
Cadex - $1100 - $2500
GRS Bolthorn - $1800

Even the Cadex Lite strike which is the cheapest option is nearly 50% more money than the HS3. Having held the Bolthorn, I hated the grip. Its a folded over hollow piece of plastic. (I have a GRS laminate so I like the ergos)
The one suggestion I do have on the HS3 having put together 4 of them now is go with the Magpul PRS for the stock. Much more solid lock up than the Skeleton stock.

I really like the HS3, great ergos, nice stock. Excellent fit and finish for a drop in solution. Nice balance and feel.
