Anyone else pick up their Colt Canada stripped lower yet?

I haven't picked mine up yet (waiting for the transfer), but I was in the LGS when they came in. I noticed & asked about the finish too. I was told that they are anodized but have not had any oil added to them yet. They are totally stripped, and degreased and are ready to be cerakoted if you want. All you need is to wipe them down with a cloth and a little gun oil.

I have been sucking dyck, trying to get one. Everyone is sold out.

IMHO members of the Diemaco Collectors Club of Canada(DCCC) should of got first dibs on these.

If I see someone at the range that has a Norinco upper on a Diemaco lower. I will take pictures of you and public humiliate you on Facebook.

I am using my Colt Canada Lower as the lower for my IUR. I hope that meets your requirements.

Why didn't you just buy a SA15.7. You could of had a super rare spare upper or just sold it. That's what most people I know did. The IUR is a 15.7" barrel, so the SA15.7 lower won't clash with it. Everyone that bought these lowers is now on the hunt for unobtainium Diemaco parts. Believe me I have been looking for Diemaco parts for 15 years and there isn't much out there. I had to buy and break up rifles just to get parts. Not to mention losing my shirt in the process.

Unfortunatly I was only able to get 2 stripped lowers...

But I did part out 2 Sa15.7' to get the parts I needed.

Now time to build a Nice IUR that dosent have SA15.7 on the side. And maybe I should do a norico build with my other one... LOL

My transfer hasn't been approved yet...

I know I thought of doing that but they aren't cheap. Besides, things worked out for the best as now I have a lower without the SA15.7 marking. Personally, the thought of parting out a collectible firearm just feels wrong but I guess the more guys that do will just make an already limited number firearm even more uncommon in the future. So, maybe it's a good thing.

So are you saying that an IUR does NOT meet your requirements?

I guess I'll just have to learn to live with the knowledge that I have disappointed you but I saw no reason to spend $2700 (for package deal with an SA15.7 rifle and an IUR) to buy a rifle I don't want simply to acquire a lower.

Maybe YOU should have bought an SA15.7. Then You would have a lower instead of "sucking dyck" and threatening to "take pictures of you and public humiliate you on Facebook."

Nope, Just though people would be more creative than putting a IUR on an unmarked lower... Maybe a C7/C8 build.

I've managed to get a few. Originally all I got back was 'sorry, they are all spoken for'. Today I got two phone calls asking if I was still interested, with other people backing out. I was just lucky I was not working on July 2nd & had time to send emails to all the companies O'Dell Engineering listed on their fb page. I will use one with my IUR & the 2nd maybe a C7 clone with the integral carry handle upper.

Picked mine up on Monday. Will be attaching a IUR to it and trying to keep it as "Colt" as possible. Not sure If I will find any CC furniture for it, but looks like the Colt BCG is easy enough to find.

At the price Ive been seeing them on EE its worth buying a complete SA... lol...

Why is it so grey ? Does it match the IUR ? and who did you blow to get your transfer done that quick... lol...

Well aren't you just the cutest snob! I did a google search of "Diemaco Collectors Club of Canada" and had about the same luck finding any info of a club by that name or description as you have finding a CC Lower. Although the one link I did click on sent off my BitDefender program as a malicious website, so maybe that was why...

Once I have the lower built, I'm going to periodically PM you photos of my lower attached to Norinco's.

Apparently the finish doesn't have any oil or anything wiped on to it. It has a very matte feel to it. The IUR is much darker in comparison but i imagine giving it a nice oil finish will match everything up.

As far as my transfer getting approved that quick, No BJ's were necessary thankfully. The CFO in Ontario has been very fast lately as far as issuing STATT. I was called the very next day after paying for my SIG 516 to pick it up. This lower was the same thing. Paid my deposit on the Friday, picked it up Monday afternoon.
