Thanks a lot! Yeah, It's a Boyd's that I bought off the EE. It was originally satin sheen lacquer, but I stripped that in favour of some Danish oil.

That's a nice shade of brown. Did you stain it?
 
I want an original but I think they're to expensive. Decided on the norinco and I'll do like you guys and maybe find an old stock or something.
Question is, Whers the best price?
Ctc offers them for 550$

I still need to drill and tap the sight pocket or maybe get a CASM mount from M14.ca to stick my red dot on it. The break from blackrose-tactical.com fits the metric threads on the Norc barrel and basically eliminates all the recoil on this gun. It's a really fun gun to shoot bulk handloads and will serve me well in the woods.
