Is there going to be a 50 beowulf pistol mag?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the polymer lower as long as you aren't stupid and abuse your rifle. As long as you don't release the upper and let it swing down and slam into the lower and as long as you don't use your rifle as a pry bar it's not going to break.
In case you hadn't noticed there are many modern high end rifles using polymer in their construction. It's an advantage not a downfall of the design.

My issues isn't that it is made from polymer, its just that the hinge is polymer. I might be a little too worried over nothing but my one concern is that one day ill be shooting out in winter time and then it just snaps. IMO though I would love to just have a stamped metal lower mainly for looks and just for security that it will be more tolerable. Also the new polymer guns I think they are alot more stronger mainly because they don't have all the stress on one tiny hinge but I hear what your talking about.

Just like an AR there is pretty much no stress on the pin when shooting, the recoil forces along with the force of the bolt coming back are absorbed by the rear of the receiver not the front pin. They aren't made of chinese plastic that gets brittle in the winter, modern polymer firearms are built and tested for use in all climates.
I've never heard of a failure that wasn't from the operator being stupid or the few that were from the bad batch of polymer that were replaced for free.
If you're really worried about it I think it was Stormworkz that offered a hinge reinforcement kit.

I just made a deal to get mine back from the guy I sold it to a couple years ago, I'm pretty excited to get my hands on it again :)

Just saw an article a while back about the dress from the bolt slamming forward from the bolt when it cycles, that's what I've heard about them but other than that I still love my 180b

I don't know the industry when it comes to new firearms in Canada but if we get several of these (below) with a "FRT" or something, maybe this will increase the chances of Beowulf Pistol Mags coming to Canada. I know that Beowulf Rifle Mags are here now but I am willing to wait it out another year or two to get Beowulf Pistol Mags to come. I remember reading it in another thread that the RCMP does have a Beowulf Pistol Mag in examination or something...but knowing them, it will be a "forever" moment.

10rd Beowulf pistol mags will be pushing the it to the max because you'll be able to put in 30rds. Which is basically a full 30rd capacity. The anti's will be all over it. We're better off with just the 5/10 and 5/7's IMO.

30 round mag dump = there goes 18$

Yup, expensive waste of money, I sure do wish we had the choice though.
I think that instead of looking for ways around it we just need to get NFA and CSSA to keep fighting the stupid mag limit law and maybe some day we can drill the rivets out of our $20 pmag's.

But that is for sure not going to happen if the NDP or the Libs get into power.

Lol because of how dumb stuff is here. A .50 beo pistol would be looked at the same as a cz858 pistol. Rcmp just says no and that's the end
Incorrect. The 858 pistol wasn't designed from the ground up... If somebody was to make a .50 ar style pistol from scratch it would be good to go.

It is just as easy for the lab to label them dual use magazine and say they are all limited to just 5 rounds.
Again, incorrect. The "dual use" thing is bull $h!t. If the gun and mags were designed from the ground up there is sweet f@€k all they could do about it.

You can call bull#### all you want, the lab will interpret and make up thing the way they want, because our vaguely written law and until the law is change it will always be a game of seesaw.

Why doesn't everyone just join the NFA and donate extra cash along with signing the petition which I believe had to be in yesterday for them to fight our stupid 5 round capacity law.
Instead of always looking for ways to get around our ridiculous laws we would be far better off to just fight legally to get rid of the laws in the first place. That means that all of you that paid $100-$150 for a Beowulf mag (which is just a $25 GI mag with a stamp on it) just so you can run 14-16 rounds and still risk running into an ignorant officer who decides to let the court figure out if you were breaking the law or not should have just stuck with your LAR mags and donated all that extra cash to the NFA and maybe we would be celebrating a return of some of our freedoms. Instead some retailers got rich and we are no closer to being able to legally drill out the stupid rivets in our mags.

I pray for a victory on the battle they have undertaken but I doubt we will see any change.

The NFA ceased to be interested in anything other than an internal power struggle a long time ago.

You clearly don't understand how this works. Ground up+No internet babble= good to go. It's been done and will be done again.

Oh and FYI. There isn't a legal requirement to have magazines approved.

Just because you're extra sure of yourself, and use symbols in your swear words, doesn't make you right. If they decide that they don't want a certain firearm or mags to be available, there is "sweet f@€k all" that YOU'RE going to do about it.

You must be new here....

I think I have a better chance in seeing a leprechaun riding a unicorn shooting lightning bolts out of its horn at a dragon then seeing a 10 round beowulf magazine for sale in Canada :)

I'm going to go out on a thick limb and suggest we are going to have trouble enough with the 5 rounders soon, depending on the outcome this fall.

Some of the ones on the market now are downright dodgy.
