I have my name down for one of the Turkish lever action 12ga. Shotguns Corwin Arms is hoping to bring in. The manufacturer I think is Adler and it looks great, has anyone had experience with these, from google I found good things being said and Corwin Arms price point is very good especially with our dollar in the tank!
Any comment appreciated.
Cheers Bob

I'm already in for 2...a 28" and 20" barrel. I'm surprised the thread on Corwin Arms forum didn't gain as much traction as it should, these are some of the nicest quality shotguns (and they've got Australia in a frenzy too, lol)

I would love to commit, but the lack of info regarding the options is keeping me a bystander....for now. I think I seen Martin comment that 8 variations would be possible. But not hearing what those are is my point. If I could confirm say:

-28 inch barrel with chokes
-straight stock (wood)
-chrome or stainless receiver and barrel

I would probably start begging the wife tonight lol (prolly cost me a trip to Ikea lol)

Just something I found on Google, not sure how similar ours will be, but sounds promising!
ADLER LEVER ACTION SHOTGUN
FRIDAY 15TH MAY 2015
Adler Lever Action Shotgun
First shipment arrives late August 2015.
Take a look at Adler’s new A110 lever action shotgun. Reliability is the key with lever action shotguns, and NIOA has torture tested this design with over 5000 rounds of mixed loads and proven it reliable.
The gun features a smooth cycling action, 7-shot tube magazine and a soft ventilated recoil pad. Quality Turkish walnut and generously checkered grip panels provide positive handling, and the hard chrome bore and chamber helps reduce maintenance.
The interchangeable chokes allow you to tailor your patterns for different cartridges and game. The 28” model is the perfect field gun for ducks, foxes and rabbits. The 20” model is tailor made for pig shooting from the bike, quad or ATV. This lever action shotgun sets a new standard for the Australian market, and is a must-have for any keen hunter.
Available in the following two models:
• 20” barrel with straight grip stock
• 28” barrel with pistol grip stock

12Ga 3” Chamber

Now I really want one, chances are they won't be stainless ,but chrome bore, maybe nickel plated, tested to 5000 rounds with no problems, Martin bring enough in to keep the price down, they will sell! Maybe a two barrel combo!

I really shouldn't be encouraging this, because I've committed to buying one if Martin brings them in, and I will stick to that commitment if he does bring them in...

I have absolutely no practical reason for wanting one.

But lord tunderin jeebus, I want one so very, very much. My main decision will be whether to add it to my mysteriously multiplying shorty collection, or get one in a more traditional full length format with a larger capacity tube...

Oh, gawd... Now I think I might have to get two...

I just hope they have model with a semi-pistol type grip as opposed to just the str8 stock. Would tickle my pickle a little more and get me to put money down. I'm with grelmar though. I don't need one, but i want one real bad...

I'd love a 14" but broke for foreseeable future so...

By the time Martin gets an FRT # for it, all the import paperwork, CBSA d!cks him around holding the SeaCan on the dock waiting for "inspection" - I wouldn't expect to see these hit the shelves until late October, probably more like November or December. And Martin never takes deposits - he only takes money when the goods are in country, on the shelves, and ready to ship. And I really appreciate that, because he's taking a helluva risk, financially, paying for everything up front and hoping it sells.

But, what this means is, you have a couple months to set aside a few bones. Looks like he's targeting $475 or less for these, and that's not a huge cross to bear.

I think the reason for the slow traction is that a lever shotgun is a relative unknown compared to break opens that are simple and familiar and there is a great choice of pumps with long reputations. I think previous lever shotguns that have been available have been lacklustre. I think if these come in and prove to be reliable and fast .... People will take notice and suddenly everyone will want one.

Very true.

The only lever shotguns we've had available are the Norc 1887's... A gun with some basic design problems built by a manufacturer with a spotty QC record doesn't inspire confidence.

What's piqued my interest here is that it's a new design being made by a Turkish manufacturer with a decent reputation. Really hoping this turns out to be a decent gun, although I doubt it will ever be much more than a niche gun.

Corwin arms, thread on this subject went missing, not sure what is going on, but usually doesn't mean something good! I really would like one of these rigs!

The estimated price shot up into the $700 range. I'm back to looking at pumps for a casual trap gun.

I would have still paid $700.

Look at those Ricol shorties, they were $600+ and far less desirable than these IMHO.

For the $700 range I think I'd look at something like a BPS rather than a Turkish gun.

I should not have dithered when Martin was clearing out the semi autos last week, however.

On a positive note, it sounded like Martin had lined up some lever prototypes from some of the other Turkish manufacturers, so it's not totally a pipe dream.

Meh, I'm not looking for value, I'm looking for a Lever action 12 gauge. So I'll pay for that type of action in that calibre.
