Trying to set a good price for the EE and it doesnt seem to draw attention vs the 5 other pistols that were sold in 2 days. I don't get why.
Worth 900 asking 600, is that still too much or what?

If it's clean and unmarred, with the case, mags, etc $600 is more than fair IMO

Got some good pictures up?

I don't even bother with ads without pics, unless I'm really really interested.

I think you just hit a bad time. If I were in the market for a Ruger 1911 I'd be talking with you at that price.

And yes, pictures help. Even if it's simply to confirm your claims of no damage.

I for one don't look at ads without pictures. Sellers are asking for a price in the hundreds of dollars (even thousands) and can't bother to post a picture ?

Of course there is a picture in my ad in the EE, by the way, I don't know where the no pic claim comes from.

Ok thanks for confirming that 600 is a fair price, it's brand new with the box. Just wanted to know.

Many times on the EE other things will put me off a deal other than price. Things like Trader rating, how the ad is structured (apparent attitude of the seller) ect. can make or break the deal as well.

Example: PRICE FIRM, TIRE KICKERS AND LOW BALLERS WILL BE OPENLY MOCKED. ALL SALES FINAL, EMT ONLY.

Most folks won't take offence with the above, but for me my back is up already. There's no such thing as PRICE FIRM or I don't want to deal, the prices are asking prices. The real question is the asking price fair? To openly mock (whether this is in jest or not) doesn't attract me to even open the line of conversation for fear of being labelled a "low baller". "All SALES FINAL" leads me to believe the individual has had issues in the past with unsatisfied fellow gunnutters who have purchased misrepresented items.
"EMT ONLY" tells me the individual doesn't want me (the potential buyer) to know his name, address, etcetera. Now why would that be? Nah. NO SALE! (too risky/sketchy)

The price seems reasonable to me but I'm not in the market for one.

The brutal reality is that buyers of luxury goods (like guns in Canada) determine the price they will pay.

Basically there are two possibilities: either you haven't found the market, or you're asking too much, and no matter how ridiculous it seems, those are the only options.

No pictures comment was not for your add but just in general when people put adds without pictures.

Nice gun and good price. Good luck.

Why would you be upset if the fellow says price is firm? He or she is just telling you not to waste your time with an offer.

Only you will know if the asking price is fair to you or not, if it is not move on.

I am with you on the ALL SALES FINAL I do not like that one myself.

As to the EMT this is the times we live in. It has nothing to do with trying to with hold info. You just get paid right away.

I am on side when people say low ballers will be ignored. when someone offers you less then half of a fair price it really only shows what kind of a person they are. It says I won't deal with you unless I can screw you.

Just my two cents worth here.

I have done, yes, or done a bank transfer.

While I've come to love EMT both ways, Some folks don't bank online, or don't trust it.

That's ok, I don't trust people who don't bank online... I have refused a deal a few months ago, the guy wanted me to send a check and didn't have online banking? Wtf, I don't even know how to sign a check anymore, or post it.

I would say your feedback score would kill it for me.
I have turned down pretty good deals when user has not dealt much online himself...

That's ok, I have been here for 4 years, I have 3000 posts and a 100% positive feedback. Maybe if you won't trust me, maybe you should just buy in the stores then.

Just an example of a great selling add, if i may impose on you....
