I've looked for years for inserts for Ruger synthetic stock rifles as they used to sell their own but these are bocolo inserts I believe was the name of the aftermarket company??? Does anyone know if you could find/buy inserts anymore or am I SOL?

They are Cocobolo inserts... that is the name of the wood used. There was a fella on Rugerforums.com that went by the handle of "41 Magnum" that made custom wood inserts for canoe paddle stocks... that was a few years ago though. Also, a company called "Lett" (I think) used to make wood inserts also... but I haven't heard of them in years and they may be out of business.

Straying off of the primary point of focus a little,;) but here's somewhat of a Ruger handgun match to go with it.

That could present a challenge... I'm sure the wonders of the Internet will save you. Heck, maybe there's a mail order type place that would do it ;)
I like the horn idea...

Deuce duece so do I now that I posted it. Hahaha. The mentioned gent from the Ruger site has contacted me back & is currently checking if he has some more cocobola wood to make me a set of inserts. Thanks to all who responded. Cheers,

I have plenty of Cocobolo in my shop and would be happy to send him some at no charge to make you the inserts... this coco has extremely nice grain. Ask him what dimensions he needs for the set and get me his mailing address.

Wow hoytcanon I'll let you know as he had to check if he had more to use to make the inserts. Your offer is greatly appreciated. Talk soon. Thank you very much,

No problem, if he needs it, I will send some extra in case he screws up a piece or two.

... the name of the aftermarket company???

The company that supplied for Ruger was Bill Lett, or W.H. Lett, or Lett Grips. All the same person and company, though the business no longer exists that I am aware of.
