Ruger Precision Rifle Coming Soon!

I'm now hearing that ruger has stopped production of the RPR and will only start again sometime in November. Does anyone know why?

Who did you hear that from?

As a side note, bif companies like Ruger don't run a full assembly line for each and every model them make anyway. They do scheduled production runs of each model and it is possible that the next scheduled run of RPR's is November. But that doesn't mean that the last production run is sold entirely out either...

Irunguns said in another post that they spoke to a ruger rep and they were told that production of the RPR was stopped and won't start again until November.

"FYI Ruger has stopped production of these rifles until November, so we wont see any more for a little while.

Steve"

Just got this message from my father. (he put a deposit on a. 308 version)

I just hot an email from the guy thats the Canadian sales manager. He says that Ruger only produced only 600 units and they're all gone . All other requests were put on backorder.

I saw one, with mine own eyes, in .243, in Plentywood on Saturday. I know that doesn't help you guys, unless you wanna pay IRG to get it for ya.....

I can't help but wonder if this type of stuff is a ploy by gun companies to get publicity for their new products. Have companies all over put out that they are getting these products in stock as soon as they come out, lots of coverage lots of chit chat, then when it comes time to release them opps there's only a few at a time.

When I put in for a pre-order I was told it was Sept to early Dec. I just hope it's still within this timeframe. It doesn't matter if they say it's gonna be a year before they come in as long as we get a predictable time frame. I hate waiting for something that might or might not come in. Holding off before buying any accesories here.
