Been wanting to get a 10mm carbine for ages now. Time was right. Many reloaders know how amazing this cartridge is especially if you reload. Although now there are many offerings in Canada in factory 10mm that could be used for hunting like the 220gr hard cast Buffalo Bore, the Barnes 155gr Vor-tx XBP, etc.

I have a Glock 20 which is obviously 10mm and now I have a Thureon Defense 10mm that takes the same mags. Much better quality than the JR Carbine I had in 9mm. I stuck a real Aimpoint Micro H1 on it and am going to hunt deer November out of a tree stand with an evil black rifle. 10 rounds in the mag just in case a few bears and a coyote try and attack me after I shoot my deer. Hahaha

Yes, for anyone who is about to chime in that I can only have 5 rounds look it up. I can have 10 in the mag and hunt with this rifle legally. Paragraph 3....

You could well be right - using a 10-round Glock pistol mag in a rifle (like the AR Pistol Mags) but a Conservation Officer may view things differently and make your life a misery. If I were you, I would buy that $99 Firearms Legal Defense Insurance...

Interested in an accuracy report and how it handles the full power loads like buffalo bore, winchester silver tips, etc

Funny you mention that! That's on my agenda this week. I actually picked up the rifle from Epps along with the Winchester Silver Tips 175gr and the Barnes 155 Vor-tx XPB. Tonight I am doing indoor chrony to compare with the pistol and rifle for FPS. Range is only at 25m so accuracy will not be fully told for these rounds. I will be reaching out to 50m and 100m later in the week at the outdoor range.

Testing done so far. 180gr Hornady XTP packs most punch out of three factory loads tested tonight. All excellent accuracy at 25m...

Man you gotta load! The 10mm store offerings don't even get close to a full house Blue Dot load. You can tell when you pull the trigger! Id love to see what you get in a rifle as the books say I'm getting 1400 out of my pistol...

I'm all set up to load 10mm. Just need to grab some projectiles. Looking forward to it. I'll be using 800x though as I have a lot of it.

My experiences with the TD 10mms was less than positive Learn from my mistakes and tailor any handloads to the rifle as opposed to using stuff you developed for your pistol...

I read that thread well before buying. So far you seem to be alone on that issue. Two friends who aren't on CGN and are avid hunters have worked up some amazing hand loads for their 10mm sending 180gr projectiles 1900fps with no issues. You could have just had something go wrong that you didn't catch. In all honesty though even the results from the factory Hornady is good enough for hunting deer so I am happy.

By the way besides the rounds I tested for chrony I shot 200 rounds of factory plinking ammo from Federal and Remington. Not one issue. Coated moving parts in Gunzilla before I went to range. Feels like a real reliable carbine and so fun to shoot! I have a doe tag this year so feeling confident if I don't get a buck I'll still be using this rifle to put food in the freezer!
