Zastava bolt Action rifles #### club ....

Zastava comes in many different variations of quality...some Zastava i seen while in Serbia cant be beaten by many gun manfacturers. Those guns were made to last and impress but for special people that could probably buy any gun in world and yet they choose Zastava to own and use.
I also seen Russian shotguns that would turn any head and make you take them beside any other western brand.
Regarding Zastava sold here, can you really ask for more for the price you pay???
I owned Interarms Mark X in .308 and if every gun shoot acurate as that one i would be just happy,happy,happy...
They need in my opinion better mounting system or their own like some gun producers have,it wouldn't drastically change production cost or selling price and maybe, just maybe magazine option,a bit smoother finish and they would be though gun to beat.
They can do all that but who would let them on market then?beside Winchester or Remington that would cost almost double more than Zastava that would be better quality and better made gun for much less money...

i found all the mounts you need fits the zastava action: will it be weaver bases, QR leupold bases, eaw and so many more what else do you need?

the smoother for the action can be get by elbow grease.

a magazine: the item users are lossing ... lol

for the price i really like the chance we can have a commercial mauser action especially for left hand actions were we lost the hawkeye actions ...

There really is no down side to Zastava 98 actions rifles.
I bought one from CTC years ago in .308 for $499. The headspace is a bit tight and the barrel needed to be free floated.
It's accurate enough, smooth action and trigger is set crisp to 2.75 lbs. Polished blued steel, walnut stock and CRF. Simple and reliable rifle that doesn't require any mods.

X2 with Baribal, I have a pair of Husqvarna 1640s in 30/06 I really like these but if Tradex brings in another batch of SS Zastavas I will have a hard time not getting a pair of those one in 9.3x62 and the other in a lighter caliber.

Ageed, The beasties do require a good de-burring & bedding job to set 'em up decent, but there's nothing basically wrong with 'em. Good, solid & proven rifles.;)

It may not be the arrow, but the Indian...

I can understand why you would say that.

However from the box my front sight was well to the left side of the dovetail and very tight, it also looked like it had been hammered in.

Zastava: a modern commercial mauser action in euro calibers? Sounds good to me.

^ your average Serbian is pretty tall.

Now that I know the centerfires have a long length of pull I have to have one.

14.5 lop?? Better too long than not long enough I guess.

Combine that with the thickness of heavy hunting clothes and a back-pack strap and it may be a bit much.

I'd be bucking at least an inch off.
