Just bought a tactical solutions 10/22. Good shooting barrel, nice Hogue overmolded stock , and a very well machined reciever. What I didn't know is that this unit included a STANDARD 10/22 TRIGGER GROUP all 6 3/4# pull. REALLY? Paid around a G note and you get a 25.00 flipping trigger. SHAME on Tactical Solutions for even putting this trigger on a supposed higher end custom 10/22 and shame on the dealer for not telling the customer.
The 2014 catalog has NO MENTION of a non Tacsol trigger model so everyone would assume it would have the Tacsol trigger.

Yup, should have built your own....

Did you ask the dealer about the trigger? Because if you didnt ask then it's shame on you...NOT the dealer.

The guy at the counter had worked for two weeks and knew nothing about it. There is NO Mention in their catalog of a standard trigger so why would I ask. They only mention the Tacsol upgraded trigger.
SHAME ON me for not knowing something that they don't mention in their catalog..hmm.

Well they aren't much over a grand you kinda get what you pay for the magnum research doesn't come with an upgraded one either a nice barrel receiver and stock is about a 1000 I think only kidd and volquartsen come with an upgraded trigger pack.

It's just that they didn't mention it as an option in the catalog. There was only a tacsol trigger in the x ring rifle.Have it shooting under 1/2" at 50 yds. Just a warning to not expect the good trigger even though the catalog says it comes with it.

I can understand why they wouldn't list the stock trigger as a plus on the list of pluses. If it had a better trigger it would have made the list of pluses.
Maybe you should google 10/22 trigger jobs and clean it up yourself, then decide if you need to spend more money?

Looks like you got caught with the base model. Here's the list of optional models for your Hogue stock version;

RIFLE WITH HOGUE STOCK PRICING

Non-Threaded Barrel with Ruger® Trigger $900
Non-Threaded Barrel with TacSol Trigger $1,050
Threaded Barrel with Ruger® Trigger $950
Threaded Barrel with TacSol Trigger $1,100

Here's a great video, it's 10/22 specific but Bob also demonstrates different sear engagements.

^^^^ - This

If it doesn't advertise a custom or upgraded trigger, don't assume it. My Magnum Research came with a standard trigger as well. Just do a "Youtube" job yourself, or spend a couple bucks on a BX-Trigger or Volquartsen.

In Saskatoon.
The box has a tiny "rtg". Ruger trigger group..found this out well after being shot. The issue is why make a custom rifle with a #### trigger.

Who knows, maybe some people don't want their Trigger and prefer some other brand of aftermarket trigger, or they already have a spare target trigger, or have the skills to make the Ruger one work.

Choice is not always bad.

Take that Tacsol back and order a Volquartsen from Wanstalls for $450 more. The stainless receiver alone is worth the extra cost, never mind the VQ trigger group with auto bolt release.

...

Suck it up BUTTERCUP! Buy a new trigger group and move on with your life. You think anyone cares about your first world problem? Oh poor me and my 6.5 lbs trigger.............tiny tears!
