Where does everyone get their optics

What vendor online has the biggest selection of optics in canada ? Where do you guys buy your optics. Every time I find something I like I search google and all I can get is amazon and U.S retailers. Can I get some info. Thanks
 
I buy my optics in store where I can touch, feel and more importantly physically see thru the scope I want to buy.
I have also bought off online sources in the past but the experiences led me to favour in person purchases.

well you see thats what a lot of this hobby is sometimes. there is no "one vender has all", if you really want to be in the sport, expect to do the leg work to find what fits you the best. it takes time and dedication is all I'm saying, so take a drive to your local gun shop and fondle a few scopes.
 
Depends on what brand you are looking for. I found that Wolverine supply is the only dealer in Canada that stocks Schmidt and Bender...


If you are looking for specific products, look for whom is a dealer of the manufacturer and ask them to order it in. You'll probably have to wait 6 months or more.

Depends on what you're looking for and from what manufacturers. Certain shops only carry certain lines, some carry very niche (read: expensive) brands, and some brands are in every shop (bushnell, vortex, etc..).

Like others have said, define what you're trying to shoot and then research the models that best fit that discipline.

P&D has a monstrous selection. Many others too. Do you really have better things to do that surf gun-stuff on the net?

An alien observer from space would conclude that no, I do not have anything better to do than surf gun stuff on the Internet. I'm sure my ISP has the same opinion.

P&D, and Prophet River. I love both of those guys.
 
Determine the glass you need / like - and then go find your best price.

Most venders are around the same price range - but ya occasionally get lucky!

So far you haven't indicated what it is you're looking for. If you want a high end precision/tactical scope, you'll likely be looking at a different vendor than you would for a mid range hunting scope.

So what are the scopes you were interested in but "can't find" in Canada, what is your price range, intended purpose, etc.
 
If you want binoculars or spotting scopes look at site sponsor CameraLandNY. They have more variety than most retailers, competitive prices, and great service exporting to Canada. Just not for riflescopes.
