I recently picked up a nice precision rifle in a synthetic black polymer stock, however it's a bit low for a nice cheek weld looking through the scope, can anyone recommend a nice strap-on cheek rest for the stock ? Cheers

Triad tactical makes a great strap on cheek rest. Hi quality, inexpensive and it doesnt permanently alter your stock if your thinking of resale.

I have tried a few however I always go back to neoprene layers held by hockey tape and an elastic sleeve cover such as Uncle Mike's shell holder or similar.

Look at the Blackhawk! nylon cheek pad.
I have 2 of them, one on my M-305 & the other on my K31.
If you lace them on tight, no movement and they're removable in seconds with no damage to the stock.
Got the second one for $24.00 off amazon.ca a couple of weeks ago.

This solution is way better (IMO) and cheaper than anything else out there. I used the Triad tactical ones for a couple of years (still do on my 22) and they were good but I found they did move ever so slightly and that impacted consistency. I used a cut up mouse pad and some vetrap to make mine.

I got this one for my 700. Super cheap, extremely well made, and the part your cheek rests on is a suede type material which is nice for a long shooting session. I then got a piece of the foam pipe insulation and cut a chunk the same length as the cheek rest and layed it on the top of the stock before installing the cheek rest. Perfect alignment with my 50mm scope, super comfy and easily removable if needed. I can still remove the bolt with it on too.
