SS Tumbler, what are you using?

Been thinking of switching over to the shiny side and my wife is asking for Christmas suggestions. What are you guys using? Thumler's tumbler B, Frankford Arsenal, other?

I use a Thumbler Model B and love it, I have been looking for a similar quality unit that holds more, both volume and weight. I discovered that when you increase the volume of SS pins you almost eliminate peening of the case mouth. It's seems to works best when the brass is buried in a slurry type condition of pins.

I also use the Thumbler Model B and love it also, this means Cleftwynd must be almost as smart, good looking and modest as I am.

The only downside to wet tumbling from what the competitive shooters have to say is removes all the carbon buildup inside the neck. This effects bullet release and some say the ultra clean case necks will cause the bullet and neck to bond together over time. I'm 65 and have chronologically gifted eyesight and drink too much coffee and see no difference in accuracy. I also like being able to inspect the cases much easier when they are so clean on the inside. To counter the ultra clean case necks many shooters use a dry case neck lube inside the neck before seating the bullets.

It has 7 liter capacity and is advertised as being able to handle 1000 .223 cases.

I have a Rebel 17. In hindsight, it would have been prudent to instead purchase the Frankford Arsenal Platinum Tumbler. 275-300 pieces of .223 in the Rebel 17 vs 1000 in the Frankford Arsenal.

I made mine, I had a motor so I just picked up odds and ends at princess auto, the most expensive pieces were the ABS fittings.

Frankford Arsenal comes with a built in time and has a larger capacity then the Thumbler. Has worked very well after the pins are "broken in".

I use a dual 3lb rock tumbler I picked up from HarborFreight for $40. on sale. Not bad if you don't shoot lots but I'm starting to outgrow it now. Might pickup a Frankford for 2016.

I place mine over the hot air duct this time of year.
For super fast drying use 99% isopropinyol
