How about you start by canadian lawmakers first, owning a gun in canada is also a privilege and not a right, we cant even get our own politicians to agree on the right to carry or self defence, and we are going to give europeans lessons about gun ownership.

If Europe goes, then our government can point and say "see they did it so we can to in good conscience". While I agree we need to work on our own laws/rights too, with the government we currently have and at this current time it isn't going to happen. Help the Europeans and we are also helping ourselves.

Nope, you're perfectly right of course. This is just a case of:

"We, not being citizen of any of the European Union member states, wish to to make our outrage and displeasure known to you concerning this certain matter that is not in any way our business or within our jurisdiction and about which we really have not the least right to say anything, by signing this petition..."​

At least the European firearm owners will be able to say that "Even some busybodies overseas think it's stupid!" :p
 
Signed. Law Abiding Citizens who own firearms, both within our Country and throughout the world need to support each other.

I just wonder what you'd all say if the gun control activists of the world started signing Canadian petitions in favor of more gun control?

I know I'd say "This is CANADA, I'm sorry you're not Canadian, eh, but you can keep your opinions to yourself, thanks!". But knock yourself out signing EU petitions, by all means! :p

A show of support is never wrong and I don't know what part of Canada your from but we get influenced from outside our borders every day...
