Its an overzealous SKS, nothing more. They make SKS's that take AK mags, and then when you drop them in a tactical stock, you get something that looks nearly identical to a type 81.

No but seriously, I think it has potential of being the best 7.62x39 in Canada if it's NR and at prices of $800. I'd pick one up just to shoot the cheap corrosives. Hell I'd buy it just cause it looks like an AK.

Norinco has a new one called a NR-81S and the website says, "Magazine Capacity - 5" and the gun is built for export civilian markets. I'm hoping the NR is suppose to stand for Non-Restricted and they intend to get this rifle onto our market.

pretty sure that's the one that was submitted almost 4 years ago. I guess they're still trying to make it full auto...
