Thats a beautiful collection 1963beretta, my 48 al doesn't compare to those, its in good condition, but the factory finish isn't done that well. Thanks for sharing yours.
Pretty as them Franki's are, they ain't no A-5.
Had one after my .410 and hated it.
There is a story here.
I tried to order a new 48AL 20g year or so ago and was told the 48's are no longer imported into Canada
Thats a beauty! The wood grain is also quite nice. Do you know the year of manufacture?
Not sure exactly but the docs that came with it say 1964
Good call, it's an xx. Lucky guess on my part
Thanks
Well you have a beauty of a gun! That model is very hard to come by. And to have it in 20g makes it even more special. Where did you find a gem like that? I've looked in every corner of the country for one and always turned up squat!!
I bought it off the EE about 3 yrs ago. Came out of Ontario if I remember correctly. Guy bought a bunch of guns in an estate and was selling them.
I will keep you in mind if I sell it or come across another in my travels. It's one of those EE purchases where the condition was as stated or better. He included the paperwork which was really neat with the original owners notes in pencil on it. I was very happy to have it as the owner was quite proud of it, and knew how to look after his things. A canadiangunnut of yesteryear.
Took the Franchi 48 out for a test run today. It cycled smoothly, no problem at all. They sure are fast. Can't wait to try it out on birds.
