Hey Im restoring a Lee Enfield No4 Mk1 and i plan on buying the beech wood stock for the rifle on Liberty Tree Collectors, but they clearly say at the bottom "Ships to buyers in the USA only." I own a PO Box in VT, do you think theyre looking for a US Shipping address or a US payment from the buyer? Should I order using my VT address or should i ask my budy in Fl to buy it and then ship it to me?

It's likely that they do not have the export permits required to ship out of the US.

If you have the export permits then I image shipping it to your VT address and then exporting it legally to Canada would be an option.

I'd just ship to your American PO Box and then bring it across personally. I've done it before with furniture when I lived in BC.

Furniture is not ITAR controlled. Exporting without the proper permits is very illegal and discussed on these forums pretty much everyday.

Like many outfits that deal in gun parts, they may also have that billing address and credit card address have to match. If you are paying by a different method then I suppose that wouldn't apply. As already mentioned, you could call and ask them. Then getting it here legally is the other issue. This fall I questioned about bringing a stock back for a Browning superposed. The customs officer said it was kind of a gray area but technically stocks are on the no no list. He kind of implied that it would depend on who you got when crossing over. So take that for what it's worth or what it means. Of course if Homeland Security happened to be doing one of their border checks, I'm sure they would have a different opinion.

They shipped a LE No1 MKIII handguard to me in BC last year, no problem. It came via USPS parcel post and came direct to my mailbox. No customs, tax, or duty.

Some people seem to be able to order stocks through them and some people can't?

I know a business I work with tried to order a bunch of stocks for the Canadian market this time last year from them and Liberty wouldn't even sell/ship to a US exporter/Canadian importer - even with the business permits.

Every time I tried to order a stock from them they cancelled the order.

Gun Parts Corp ships stocks at least, but geeze didn't you see how much the dollar is worth?

I think a lot of the issue depends on where the stock is made. If it's a US made stock then it's harder for them to export it and not worth their effort. A stock that came from overseas to start with then it probably doesn't require as much paperwork as it's not a US made item. I don't know for sure but it seems to be that way. I had a Swedish AG42b stock shipped to me a few years ago with no problem. However, times have changed since then.

I think transactions that took place 2 or 3 years ago don't mean much today. The rules/regulations it seems constantly change and/or outfits that shipped back then are no longer doing so because of the hassell.
