So recently got into reloading slugs and was able to grab some HS-6. This powder with Fed 209A seems to be perfect for my slug loading.

What other caliber are you guys using for this powder?

I've found it works well in higher pressure pistol rounds. In 38 special massively dirty, in 38 spec +P much better.
Works ok in 9mm and 357. Never tried it but understand that it would be good for 9mm major loads

With the .38 I too found it dirty and with lots of unburned powder. Switching to a magnum primer cleaned things right up.

My go to for 9mm and .40S&W. It does not work well when down loaded. It works best at higher pressures, otherwise you get dirty/incomplete burn.

Its funny, read in a lot of places HS-6 is no good for 1 oz loads in a shotgun. But with the mag primers it rocks. Just went down a grain or so with the powder. Got some loads which use 30 grains for the lee 1 oz slugs and they are very mild to shoot but do not mess the barrel.
