But they WORK.they come in only a few sizes and have to be stretched to fit.
more often than not the final look is ugly

Your scopes didn't come with the covers for that?
I've had the Leupold Alumina covers, they work good. However, because they thread in, the timing of when they tighten can be off compared to where you want them. I had this problem, but it could likely be solved by a little glue on the threads but I sold the scope.
The Butler Creek ones are good if you can find a tight fit. They aren't super tough, but they are pretty cheap so you can buy them for lots of different scopes.
The Alumina flip covers rotate independently of the threads. You can hold the lid in the desired location and thread it on. If it's not quite right, back it off, hold the lid, and re-tighten. Easy peasy.
None..... Who needs another step in the process?..... I hunt lots of rugged terrain and never saw the benefit......
What are your favourite riflescope lens covers, and why?
On the flip side, are there any covers you absolutely hate, and why might it be so?
I realize different covers might not be available for all riflescopes, but if every cover worked on every riflescope, what would be your choice?
I just called them and ordered direct. It's hard to beat tenebrex covers in my opinion.
