Bullet pulling en masse

Just wondering how people are doing it for say 1000 .30 cal rounds. Am I better off using my hornady cam lock puller or using the rcbs hammer style, if it'd even last that long. Does RCBS replace those inertia style pullers if they break btw?
Just don't want to mark up the bullets I suppose, but time is a factor too.

Yes they do replace with no issues but you will have two week downtime. If you aren't worried about marks on bullets use the one that mounts in press. It will be faster.
 
I use the Hornady press mounted collet pull. When used correctly it won't mar the bullets in any way and once set up properly you can really get into a groove and get them apart fast.
 
Why are we mass-pulling bullets?

Would be easier and more fun, to shoot them, and reload them as you see fit.
 
Hornady here too.

Be aware that it's a tool that needs a bit of setting up and some amount of "feel" to the process. It's pretty easy to set it too deeply and end up trying to pull the brass neck off instead of the bullet.

Also the collets are a bit soft. DO NOT compress them other than when it's on a bullet or you'll find that the collet sizes down and doesn't spring back. When that happens it won't let the pulled bullets drop free. If you do this you'll want to carefully spread the fingers back out a hair so that they bullets fall freely.
 
That Grip-N-Pull looks nice. I don't buy the idea of the gain over the collet but having fussed with setting the collet puller up I do like the lack of setup needed with the Grip-N-Pull.

The reason I don't buy the advantage over the collet style is that if a bullet is hellishly tight then by the time you grip it tightly enough to ensure a clean pull with either a collet style OR the Grip-N-Pull you WILL deform the bullet.

What the Grip-N-Pull will do is let you control the feel of the pressure more easily. So for that reason and the lack of needing to set any upper gear in place I do like what I see.

It would be a pretty simple diy project to make too, but I have to agree it might deform them
