So, I bought one of the DPMS Oracle AR's that Grouse River had on sale today. My first AR.They are "optic ready' (no BUIS). I'm looking for some advice on what to put on it for a sight. I'm looking at some of the Bushnell Red Dots or maybe their 2x AR optic. Thoughts? Probable use is 100 yards or less.

I'm looking at these at SFRC but would welcome suggestions of other brands in this price points or from other sponsors.

I'd say go for the Bushy TRS-25 or the Vortex Sparc. A simple red dot is more than enough for >100 yards. If you upgrade down the road, the resale is decent on both. Also, keep an eye on the optics EE, I've found some decent deals there.

Any reason to choose the TRS-32 over the 25?

Bushnell ar-223 1-4 pcl. Works like a red dot on 1x, plus you get a little zoom. It's first focal plane as a bonus.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i have astigmatism so traditional red dots are blurry to me. Just a little different option for you.

Yup, got one on one of my ARs. So far, second season in and it's still running strong.

I sure do like the Aimpoint Pro on my other rifle but makes it tough for longer range with old eyes.

For a $300 budget, anything Vortex is a great starter red dot...I prefer the Strikefire myself. Vortex has lifetime warranty, nobody else offers this on red dots that I'm aware of...even better it's no fault as well. If it's in the budget, Aimpoint micro or CompM4.

I have the strikefire on one AR and Sparc on the other.

Both are excellent no frills red dots and good value for the $$ IMHO

Buddy has one of these on his Mini-14 and loves it! Been a great optic for the price.

Other than the 2 MOA dot vs 4 and the slightly higher price ($40ish?) is they much to choose between the Strikefire and the SPARC?

I'm seeing the Strikefire at $279 and the SPARK at 319 from Wolverine. Is that a reasonably good deal? Any other sponsors offering free or low flat rate shipping?

One has a cantilever mount, the other just says "multilevel mount" but doesn't appear to show it in the photo. Would one have any advantage over the other?
