I was at a gun store on the reservation in Kahnawake (just outside of Montreal) this morning with my Tavor, inquiring on a new flash suppressor. The lady at the counter was looking at it when a man who identified himself as a Laval police officer (he was in plain clothes) paying for some goods looked over at my rifle and told me to enjoy it while I can.

I asked him what he meant by that, and he said that rifle and a "whoooooooole lot of others" are going to be banned soon.

I asked him why he thought that, and that's when he told me he was a police officer for the city of Laval. He had a bit of a sarcastic smirk, so I replied to him telling him that still doesn't answer my question.

He said it was going around and he heard from some people up the food chain that there are a bunch of re-classifications coming down soon, and my Tavor was one of the ones going on the banned list.

Take it for what it's worth.

It's worth nothing.

I'm sorry, that came out really rude. The thing is, I've been getting emails once a week for 4 years from people who "were told such and such gun is going to be banned" by someone with zero credibility. The only one of those with legs was the Swiss Arms, and I could confirm that within an hour of being told it was happening.

Here's something cool so that this post doesn't seem 100% #####y from me.

;)

And I didn't mean it was happening "this morning". I meant this whole thing happened this morning. Sorry for the confusion.

I believe that we as gun owners have been the target of a campaign, designed to dishearten us for years. The goal is to slowly break down our resolve to resist. When it happens, that the next ban occurs; we should not cry out; the scariest thing for the government to hear is.......silence. No shouting, no letters, no outraged marches and protests; just a silent, peaceful, non-compliance. We "just say.....no", by our actions, not our voices. Now that! will keep them awake at night.

Silence in the 90s is what got us here. It allows them to control the narrative.

What do you suppose would have happened during the Swiss and CZ reclassification if we sat silently?

Some folks like the feeling of power they get when they pull the wings of flies. Off duty Quebec cop sees black gun owner in gun shop, the rest is human behavior.
