My sea cans containing all my mounts from Whitehorse arrived yesterday.........everything appears as when I loaded it and I already have my white bear in my trophy room. The other life mounts are too heavy to drag out by my self so I'll enlist some help tomorrow and see what I can get unloaded.

Sounds like you did a good job packing them... which means unpacking them will be some work... looking forward to the pictures of your trophy room all set-up.

sea cans are parked exactly 8 ft apart and I shall build a roof over them and make some extra storage from them.........20X24' no downside there.

Spank........did you not see the daily photos when I packed the sea cans? Well it's just that in reverse..............

So here's the last photo of them being packed.........

And he looked just exactly the same as I unpacked him and put him on my tractor forks and moved him into his new home.............my trophy room.

If my memory serves you packed and shipped those many, many months ago. Who did have as a shipper, Canada Post..?? None the less glad to hear they arrived safe and sound and you can now get the kids settled in there new home.

Offspring....lol

Boy, that white feller looks like he's gasping fer air.
Need to find you a photo Douglas of a shop being built with sea cans.
Saw it today getting some dawgie run gravel.

Can't wait to see the final layout with all the mounts in place

Ya me too........that's gonna take some T&E I suspect...........wish I was good on a computer, I'm sure someone who was good at it and had the right program could take photos of all the mounts get them all the right size, enter the wall dimensions and then paste and cut until one had it the way he wanted.

Pete...........cans were packed many months ago in fact the mounts were packed almost 2 years ago, just got shipping arranged on Mon, here on Thurs...........#1 son was supposed to have done this last fall...............................

'Looky, I poked him with a sharp stick years ago and let all the air out of him.........he hasn't needed any since..........

Very nice Douglas...... I have software for room layouts as well as AutoCAD if you need a hand......

I was going to suggest CAD for your purposes too. You could make a box the size of your room, then a box sized to each mount, the just drag them around to figure out what works best...

Or do it the old-school way, and just use paper. Have one sheet as your wall, and make paper squares that reflect the dimensions of your mounts, then play a paper game of tetris.

I'll bet you're anxious like a kid on Christmas morning.........huh?
Great they showed up with no unexpected surprises.

Oh, where'd yah hide that recipocating saw?

Nice looking bear you have there.

If you don mind, when you have it all set up could you take a pic of it and put it up? I think it would be a real nice photo. :)

The box idea won't work, because it's not size but which animals look good together and work on a given wall..........took days to get the right layout in my office in Whitehorse and I have about 50 more mounts now.
Of course it's raining today..........unpacking on hold.
Will take a bunch of photos when it's all done..........but I'm still waiting for my leopard (life mount), hippo, walrus, lion (life mount) and a couple others...........can't forget to leave space for them.

The head just doesn't accurately portray the mass of these beasts. They are like hippos without legs, our largest animal in NA to hunt legally, as a non indigenous person. They of course can hunt whales, we can't.
