We will see. I also (over)heard at my LGS that:

1. Soon we will no longer be able to get restricted firearms licenses so there's no point in buying any restricted firearms.
2. Ruger 10/22s are going prohibited because they have 25 (and 110) round magazines.
3. .50 BMG rifles are prohibited in Canada.
4. Hollow Point ammunition is prohibited in Canda.

etc. I have also heard about 20 different firearms that people have said are illegal here ( which they are not lol).

So take what randoms say with a grain of salt.

I do not doubt that there are things coming down the pipeline. But all we can do is be ready.

I don't think it could be reclassified that easy as I clearly falls under non restricted status.
It's on a new semi auto only reciever and by firearms act definition it's falls under non restricted.

Wouldn't they have to rewrite the act and all definitions of firearms classification to prohibit it.

Yup. Apparently my 12.5" DA Grizzly is an illegal sawed-off shotgun. A local fudd told me so at the local gunsmithing shop. The smith just winked at me. Too funny.

I met tge ultimate At the Fredericton Gun shop, says guns shouldn't have more than 2 "bullets" in them because any decent hunter rarely needs a follow up shot.
