CZ Shadow 2 !?

Don't know if it is a english vs russian issue....but its weird to have a sponsored shooter promoting a new gun when she called the slide serrations "thingies" and the mag release a "mag pouch"

I was thinking the same thingie... :) Despite her lack of technical jargon, she seems to shoot well.

Most likely just a language snafu. You can hear her pause trying to find the right word translation. Still hate how close the Safety and Slide release are..

She shoots better than she speaks english that's for sure.

Still love to meet her though.

Given that English isn't her first language...recon she did pretty well....I wouldn't have managed even that in Russian...she seems genuinely excited to shoot it....

Maria is awesome all the way around. She is still getting used to being interviewed and answering questions. She's a shooter first and a public speaker second, she speaks great English, but technical terms she'd be unfamiliar with. I'd bet she knows them now.
As for mags, they take the same mags as all the other 75s. They will be shipping with the MecGar 17 round with +2 baseplates on them where they can. Other countries with other laws will get what they get, 10 rounders or in some cases 18 round mags (due to previous classifications). I am hoping my discussions with them will result in us getting the full body 10 round, dented 17 round mags, with +2 baseplates, no one there was aware that this was possible. I also talked directly to MecGar about this.

I know it may be a bit early to tell...

Anyone think the Shadow 2 will replace the Shadow? Think the price will go up? Very few retailers are stocking the Shadow now. A couple LGS told me they have no idea when they will restock. The majority of retailers are out although if you search around you can find one.

Of course the Shadow 2 gets unveiled less than a week after I ordered a Shadow. I think I will still be content with my pistol though. :)

I will eat these words if they are here before the end of the summer. Even if the importers can get them, we have to wait for the FRT to be issued, which shouldn't be an issue, but who knows. CZ has already been swamped with orders for this pistol and are quite happy about that.

Wow! My biggest complaint (albeit in scale minor) with the Shadow and why I sold both of mine in favour of the Tangfo was the rounded trigger guard. This new Shadow will get my $1,500 (guessing cost) now.

Now I'm collecting cz's..ill just have to find the cash for this one...but I'm looking forward to reading you guys reviews before diving in....lol

It is unfortunate that this one looks to be priced at about double what the Shadow was first priced at here in Canada.

It is what it is, the manufacturer is free to dictate their msrp. They probably had to invest on new machinery. Besides, if you do use it in ipsc. You would spend more on ammo and gear. Complaining won't change anything.
