I just got mine today. I can't speak for anyone else's experience, but I must say it packed one hell of a wallop when I tried it. I lightly touched it to the back of my calf muscle(through pants), just kind of from the side, not directly pressed into it, for maybe one second maximum, probably less though. Made a quieter hissing sound as opposed to the loud BZZZT when it's not touching something. My whole calf tensed up and made me stumble a little since that leg became essentially useless for a second haha. Then a couple seconds later my whole body, arms, legs, face felt like it had some kind of buzz going on and it made me laugh cause I didn't quite expect it to be so strong. Then my heart started beating pretty hard. I checked my calf and there was a very slight burn on the skin I guess where the electricity traveled between prongs or whatever you'd call them. I certainly won't be volunteering for it again lol. I imagine a longer ride in a more serious body part would be very effective. I
personally wouldn't let this thing near my torso or some other areas I really shouldn't have to name.
I couldn't find anything specific before I bought it, but the poorly translated slip that comes with it had some specs on it.
Input voltage: 7.2VDC
Power Current: >/= 2.5A
Output Voltage: Above 1000 kV
510mm long
I probably wouldn't use it for beating an assailant though unless I had to. I'd be surprised if something didn't beak in it after being used as a baton, but it is replaceable so do what you gotta do. I wouldn't worry about it breaking in half or anything, it seems sturdy enough, just in terms of still zapping afterwards.
Somebody else can test out its baton capabilities
