Both of those will leave you wanting more velocity. But both great choices
Does anyone know the water capacity comparison to the base of the neck between these two and does anyone have a reamer for the former?![]()
300WM fire formed in 375 Ruger 105gr I believe.Let me Google this for you........
.375-338: 88gr of water
.375 H&H: 95gr of water
.375 Ruger: 99gr of water
That must be magic!
Or a 26" barrel![]()
1. 24" bbl.
2. Load was hot, not magic. I didn't use it as a 270gr @ 2700fps has always just fine in a 375Magnum. If one needs more, the 378Weatherby is an option.
3.![]()
The correct answer to this question is 375 Weatherby,....and I have a reamer for that one...![]()

Really?

Alliant lists 71gr RL15 as max for the 375 H&H and a 270gr bullet, for 2675fps. No surprise you got a fast mover there![]()
Alliants max is conservative, I'm loading 76.0 RL15 in both 375 H&H and my 375 Ruger, no pressure signs in either..
.375 Weatherby is 105gr so I doubt it.
