Ive been dreaming up my SKS for the last 3 years now lol ... Building a nice wood SVD stock for my SKS (inspired by another CGN'er "Umaka's" build) , ordered an authentic Tiger SVD cheek rest for it, got the butt plate today at the Calgary gun show, now I just need to decide on using a Laminate, or Maple stock blank.

well, I have a new, unissued Chinese SKS to molest.
plan to get the Timberline stock, shorten the barrel for better balance, find a compensator (haven't seen one I 'like' yet) and turn it into a nice bush rifle.

Ditto! I have a sweet 49 all period correct but its a mild refurb with a super light mark on the cover, and a sanded and renumbered slim forestock. Appears unfired. I only wish it was non refurb.......
