10/22 photos - post 'em up here!

Mine is not in yet, but I have a Kidd Single Stage trigger group, Kidd Bolt and Kidd charging handle on the way for it... they should all arrive about the same time... I may just go with the Kidd receiver and factory contour barrel also...

Thanks for the heads up on these beauties, your mod list sounds like a nice selection of parts. Post some pics when you get it. Cheers

Where are you planning on picking up th kidd receiver? Have a line on one in Canada or having it imported?

I had this;

It was fun, and the short barrel made it more fun, but it was heavy and expensive and I had another 10/22 in the house for my son. So I started building the other 10/22 and sold the SR22. Now I have this;

Ruger 10/22
UTG picatinny rail
Ruger SR22 barrel
Knoxx Axiom stock
Burris P.E.P.R. QD scope mount
Primary Arms 1-4X24 illuminated scope
Magpul MOE picatinny rail
UTG Super Duty QD bipod (which is also useful on the VZ58)

I'd like to lower the scope, but I'm not sure how to do that and keep the eye relief.

I was wondering the same.

I bought KIDD barrel, bolt, charging handle and 2 stage trigger quite a while ago. Also bought a used 10/22 for the receiver, but decided it was too nice to tear apart and ended up selling it. Have to decide whether to sell all the parts, or go ahead and order a receiver.

You could always plug it all into a Dlask receiver. My kidd bolt and charging handle run like a champ in the dlask receiver, and it is very accurate.

That was the thought until I saw the KIDD receiver mentioned. Didn't know they made receivers.

I have had a number of Kidd receivers, they mate well with Kidd bolts, because the tolerances are much tighter than stock... it is always safest to use the same companies bolt and receiver because their tolerances should sync. I had problems on two occasions with Kidd bolts in Dlask receivers, one was minor and I polished the inside of the receiver until it functioned... the other was taken care of by Joe Dlask. I have also had two Kidd Supergrade rifles which are entirely made inhouse.

I had the oposite problem. The dlask bolt and charging handle were not feeding well in the dlask receiver/barrel combo. The bolt was dragging the next round in the mag, which a little polishing took care of, but even after that, once in a while the round would not completely chamber (about 3/4 of the way into the chamber it would hang up. I found that the bullet was dragging on the chamber face and jamming up. I put the dlask bolt and charging handle in a ruger receiver and a Kidd bolt and charging handle in the dlask receiver and everything is working good as gold. I'm sure experience will vary greatly.

Also, I'm super jealous about your supergrade's. I really want one. I might have to bug prophet river again to see what they have found out.

no worries, if thats your work when its for S**ts and giggles I can only imagine what the rest of your toys look like. And I apologize if I offended you at all man, I like your rig.
