2016 CDTSA Multigun Matches **critical UPDATE Post 251 ** SEPT Match

Hey There!

Two things.
First, the rules will be adjusted for the 2016 matches and Milo. That's not done yet.

Second. Even if you don't have your holster course you can still participate in the match, we will just make some adjustments and you can still use a holster..... it just means you cant have one in the chamber in the holster. Yes, black badge qualifies you.

Hope that clears things up

Hello. I am new to IPSC and 3-Gun. Do I have to be a member at the CDTSA to compete? Will you have any pistol-only matches? Thank you.

No, you do not need to be a member to compete. All are welcome.

We run a form of steel challenges every Thursday (Starts in APR). That is the only "Pistol Only" match you will see this year.... BUT at least it is at the Shepard range so a LOT closer.... you are also welcome to join us there too.

Hey All

BIG UPDATE

Classes have been announced and the new rules have been agreed upon.

This has been submitted to the webmaster to get our website updated with the new info so keep your eyes open. (It is up on the site now)
Anyone that signed up for the mailing list will already have a copy sitting in their inbox.

Sneak peek
- Classes will be proper TacOp(Also called Practical Rifle) and Unlimited(No penalties on Mag fed shotty)
- Rules are pretty much a copy and paste from 3GN with some minor tweaks
- Movement with a hot gun is allowed. (To an extent for now, stage design will explain)

so no slings or other silly stuff, 3GN rules.

ummm you do know that 3GN rules also calls for the use of slings right?
"6.6 For all 3GN Regional matches the use of a sling is allowed and may be required to complete a stage or a Course of Fire (COF)."

our rules say the same
"6.6 For all CDTSA matches the use of a sling is allowed and may be required to complete a stage
or a Course of Fire (COF). "

I'll get into the rules yet, but should be a fun season.

Sadly I might be missing the first event due to a race in Idaho at the same time =(

I assume you will be running the mag fed shotgun now Joka? I seen one for sale and was tempted, but I'm actually quite happy with the Beretta. Just need lots of practice reloading. Which reminds me I should make some dummy rounds..

Yaaaaaaaa, I think I will try it out. I think there will be a LOT of them this season.

Aircav is already scheming how to get as many shots onto his shotgun as I can fit on my microrig :D

Is he welding mags together?

Thought this should be pointed out since I'm not the only one who has a cart that is muzzle up. I'll need to somehow reconfigure for muzzle down:

1.4 Transporting Rifle, Shotgun and Pistol (from vehicle or between stages)
1.4.1 Rifles & shotguns must be cased or if hand carried or slung, the muzzle must be
pointed up. Using carts where the muzzles are pointed downward are approved.
Pistols carried between stages must be cased or remain holstered.

Awesome! I can revise it, but this is even better. I'm pretty sure you've seen my set-up before.

13.0 Conduct
13.1 Competitors and spectators are expected to conduct themselves in a courteous,
sportsman-like manner at all times.
