So I was enjoying the weather on my deck today, taking apart my Tavor, when I had a slip of the hand when removing the firing pin, and it went flying into the great green yonder that is the shared yard between myself and my neighbor...

After hours looking like a total tool, I managed to find the spring, but no firing pin.

If I were to order one from here, should I expect any resistance?

No prob.

The site's shipping policy says this:

Export Notice:

Spare parts (not including add-on accessories) and magazines are items controlled for export by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). These controls take the form of export regulations and export license requirements.

As part of the express consideration provided for receipt of IWI US's goods, technical data and/or services, you, our customer, acknowledge that the export, re-export or other transfer, directly or indirectly, of the goods, technical data and/or services provided by IWI US in violation of U.S. law is prohibited. Customers acquiring ITAR goods, technical data and/or services from IWI US shall be responsible for obtaining any necessary U.S. or other government authorization required to ensure compliance with applicable export laws.

Which seems to say that they'll send it but it's your responsibility if it gets intercepted.

I know what it says. I'm looking into whether or not anyone has had any actual issues with it... not someone to read the web site back to me again.

Thanks anyway...

I would honestly say that means they wont export to civilian parties, unless exported through distributer that has proper paper work.

So I'm looking online, is it really almost 150$ for a firing pin for this all plastic gun?

dvx where are you looking? you may want to try and find a the tavor distributor in Canada (I forget who it is). Probably be able to help you.

Oh, I googled and found this place... w.w.w.reliablegun.com/en/israeli-weapon-industristies-iwi-tavor-parts-firing-pin

I found one a lot cheaper from a site sponsor!

Go to Crappy Tire and get a HD telescopic magnet. That's what I use when fixing guns/cars when parts go flying.

I bought this they shipped it no problem to me
