Got her from the original owner who bought it only 2 months ago! It has seen 200 rounds. He sold it to buy a Sig P226.

Did I get a good deal? Can't find these things for sale anywhere!

I have wanted one ever since witnessing how good they are. My shooting buddy has one, and it has seen way over 10,000 rounds and it is just inherently accurate. I could shoot it better than my old Shadow... Much better. I feel like it was due to the trigger.

Anyway... Just wondering if I did well

I have been running one in IPSC classic division and beating the standard guys with it ) Very accurate and nice shooting gun, you will get lots of use from it.

Make sure to buy quality mags, usually the source of trouble in 9MM 1911's

At $700 I would say you did very well. Only way to get a better deal would have been to steal it.

I have a .40 Sentry and the thing will drive nails all day long. I plan on being buried with it.

Well done.

My friend - that is called THEFT in some circles!

I shall expect a favourable range report post haste.

Yessir!! I will do!! I miss having a 1911! It's been years!

My last one was an STI Trojan in .45, and no #### I could hit a bottle cap at 20 yards with it! I just could not afford to feed it! And I needed cash for a couch believe it or not! Hahaha ... Lame!

Well! Mr. One Lung! I have taken her to the range 3 times already!

And I am not disappointed, I guess I'm a 1911 guy because that trigger break is just sooooo good! I prefer it to the shadow trigger big time! I'm no wonder shot, but I can consistently hit a 4" plate at 25 yards with this beauty! Unsupported of course...

I have however had 2 stovepipes out of 300 rounds... not a big deal... but still a bit annoying as my CZ never gave me a single hiccup.

Oh! And it doesn't stay open on the last shot very often at all! But I have ordered two mecgar mags from Marstar, so hopefully that solves the issue!

All in all, I love the pistol, it is fitted so tight it is a pain in the ass to take apart!

Congrats on your purchase. You did very well on the price. Most 1911 issues are magazine related so quality mags are a must. I run Tripp Research and I couldn't be happier. Wilson combat are top quality. Mecgar mags are also excellent.

What kinda loads are you running, Chromarty?

Just as an FYI I used to get the odd one way back when I first got into it. The guys call it 'limp wristing the pistol' - and it can happen with patty-cake target loads. You have to keep a firm grip on the gun in order for it to cycle properly. Just throwing that out there...but if you are running really soft loads you might just try barking them up a smidge.

We need to see some pics too!!! :)
