1911 Commander in 9mm:
- Matte/Satin Stainless Finish
- Adjustable Night Sights
- Railed
- Mounting option for reflex sight
- Mags that hold 10 rounds, not 9

for no more than $1500.

Forget 10 rounds unless you don't mind the mag protruding a little. STI used to make the Duty One 4.0 I believe (keyword "used to"). Kimber makes one but with a 4" barrel and in .45 ACP (TLE/RL II Stainless Pro). Other than that you will need to go custom and that 1500$ is gonna double or triple. I don't see why you would want that combination but w/e.

Why?

What you are describing is not really a 1911 any more. There are many other guns that meet these requirements which are cheaper, more reliable, simpler etc. I love my 1911 but my Sig 226 meets these requirements out of the box and does it superbly. There are issues that go with 1911's which don't exist for most of the more modern guns.

funny. first thing that comes to mind is jumping down my throat because I want a pistol that looks a particular way?

why do I want it? because it looks a particular way...and will still shoot?

I agree wit you. I never really see why people question why someone wants something, and then they go on why you shouldn't have it.

Just answer the question that the person has asked, plain and simple.

But heck what do I know.

Try Dlask Arms. If anyone can build a 1911 with all the features you are asking for it will be them.10 rounds mags are available but I do not think any of them will insert on a closed slide with 10 rounds.

Oh and why would a person want a 1911 like that. Probably because they like 1911's. Also its an excellent platform for hot 9mm rounds.Having said that I haven't found that factory 9mm does a 1911 much justice.

there are lots of options that would meet most, but not all of your requirements, from popular brands like STI, springfield etc. then you have to do some customizations, like sights, mags etc.
if you want everything matches, it will be over $1500 for sure.

Not sure about all those features on a stock offering. ..but, could look at something like a sam commander stainless in 9mm, then add night sights and a set of recovery grips? Might be the least expensive way to do it. As for mounting optics to the slide your looking at something like a burris fast fire with mount but you loose the rear sight. Appx 300-400 to set up I think..?..

it's not quite what I mentioned above, but I like it. what is this?

If it sounded like I am jumping down your throat, sorry. Wasn't meant that way. I think my issue was once you have done all the things you are looking for it really isn't going to look much like a 1911 any more. I love my 1911, definitely one of my favourites, but the thing I personally like about it is the old school style. The features you are looking for is a lot easier to find in a modern gun at a lower cost and with better reliability. If these things don't matter to you great. I was just a bit concerned you didn't know the disadvantages of a 1911.
