I will post later explaining all the rules plate sizes and distances with more pictures.
Is it chrome lined?
Jerry Miculek has a video of him free standing shooting his revolver at a balloon at 1000 yards against a steel plate. Took only 2 shots.
I need glasses just to read this thread and I lose things further than 10" in the fridge, I couldnt imagine trying to shoot at anything that far.
At my range, only the 25 and 50 are approved for pistols. Not allowed on the 100-400 range.
I have heard these described as Wrist Rifles.
Tell us more about it.
What is it built from?
Where do you shoot?
Video?
I would guess it took Jerry a few more than two tries before he got the balloon, I bet he practiced for a while before they started filming.
Wow, I am just trying to get myself worked up to do 750m with a 26" barrelled full target rifle, so I figure you must be doing damn goo! Congratulations!
Yes, and he is not actually hitting the balloon with the bullet anyways: he's rupturing it with the splatter from the shrapnel of the bullet on the steel plate.
I have to shoot the 5" or 8" dia. plates at 1000 with the .223 because they are the only plates it will move. It doesn't hit the larger plates hard enough to move them and you can't see any splatter.
