NEA 25, Non rest 308

Thank you guys, so around june? I almost buy a DD's .308 3699$ that is a big difference lol i wait!

You can't put a date on the firearms lab. Could be 8:00 tomorrow morning. Could be 8 years from now. Even after that will it be nonrestricted or restricted.
On their Facebook page they've stated multiple calibers. No 5.56 yet though. The only two I'd be interested in is .308 & 7.62x39

Source is reliable yet I'm not gonna out the person who has access to the FRT table.

Just like the UTAS XTR-12, this firearm holds a restricted status, but importer and manufacturers are making a case against those determinations as the AR10 should not be ristricted as a varient of the AR15 since the AR10 predecessor technically predates the AR15 design.

Trust me, I want on of these bad too. Just want people to know what it really says on the FRT table other then what other people on various other firearm forums say it to be NR and ready to sell ASAP

Didnt ATRS have to send many versions of the modern hunter to the RCMP before getting NR status?
Maybe the same is happening to NEA.
They just put the cart before the horse and are marketing a non-released product before getting desired status.

My understanding is that they had to send a set of upper and lower to be examined before a conditional NR FRT was given, then a completed example was provided for final certification.

NEA has had the restricted .308 FRT for a long time now. They are still in discussions to reclassify it to NR status moving forward. Just takes time with the RCMP as we all know.

Since its restricted, fewer people will buy it now.

The existence of this rifle and its presence in the canadian market is 100% dependent on getting NR status.
No company is trying to develop a platform to compete with the AR15, as it would be useless.
