I'm looking for a little advice on what makes and models I should look at. I'm only interested in a 22 pistol

I have big hands and I am a lefty. I found the few 22 pistols I held did not fit my hands. And I need safety, slide release and mag release to be easily reached.

Thanks

go with a sig 226 that is an elite of some kind for the short reset trigger

one thing about the sig .22lr is the slide stop, after last round, doesn't work with factory mags.

the Mark III Target 5.5" would be good for big hands. I find it hard to hold because of my small hands.

at the same time, while it'll be more expensive to shoot, the Kel-tek PMR30 would be good. it's grip is very big due to the larger .22 WMR cartridge it shoots.

What pistols did you try? Anything with replaceable back straps or aftermarket grip options should help....you could always add a slip on rubber over grip.

I'm new to hand guns. So I don't know all the ones I tries.

I do know the glock was way too small. And all revolver types were too small.

I'd rather not have to deal with aftermarket stuff.

My newest range toy... A Sig P226 .22lr Classic. And it came with the short trigger, and short reset as well..! I couldn't be more pleased. I ordered some GS designs magazines for it, so I should get an excellent training tool out of it. Of course I also got my mitts on a .40 exchange kit! It all works flawless so far..

Given the size of your hands it sounds like at some point you will need to learn how to shoot smaller guns..... it's not that hard specially with a .22lr
