Yes, we held it and he called back. All good now. We just have to be careful as it can get hetic when these 'deals 'come and and multiple guys want the same things.

Would it help if I told you, I was in there today and they're not lying. It is a really good looking rifle.

If it somehow survives the weekend, i'll have a hard time not grabbing it come monday
 
Stellar deal on the SL8. Timing sucks though, shopping for a new semi 12ga for bird season. Otherwise I would have a hard time passing this one by. But then I also have to factor in the expense of the G36 conversion that would inevitably follow.

I know, I was browsing the interwebs and seen pics of a few and they are beautiful. not quite sold on the spiral barrel and would really like a safe queen in 30 06 instead of .308.

I found one in 30 06 that's a demo at another dealer......... quite a bit more 1500$ plus tax and shipping so around 1750$ all in......... I just can't pull the trigger on it with back to school shopping with the kids and Christmas coming.......... my wife would blow a gasket :)
